Diocesan Synod, which comprises the Bishops and elected laity and clergy, considers matters sent to it from General Synod and Deanery Synods, formulates Diocesan policy, advises the Bishop and discusses and votes on wide-ranging issues.

Around 250 people attended the high energy and interactive Open Synod on Saturday 7 March on the theme of Fellow Pilgrims: changing the conversation about children and young people. The Synod was held at the John Wallis Church of England Academy.
