Safeguarding training: module C3

The new national safeguarding requirements for clergy

This safeguarding training is for those who hold the Bishops Permission to Officiate, are Readers and Licenced Lay Ministers. Those new to the Diocese will on arrival will receive an invitation to a relevant session. If you have any questions please contact Karen Carolan-Evans on kcarolan-evans@diocant.org

The module is compliant with the National Church Safeguarding framework. On completion of this module you will be require to undertake a refresher within 3 years.

Safeguarding Leadership: Module C2

The Safeguarding Foundation Module C2  training is specifically aimed at Leaders of children’s and adult activities, Churchwardens, PCC Safeguarding leads, Director of Music, Bell Tower Captains, Organist, Choir leader, home visitors, safeguarding coordinators. Participants will benefit if they complete the e-learning module C1 before attending C2.

Safeguarding training : module C1

This online module is aimed at anyone who has safeguarding responsibilities or who has contact with children, young people and/or adults who may be vulnerable. To access this module please go here and follow the instructions:

  1. Click ‘Online Courses’
  2. Click ‘Create new account’ to register as a new user and fill in your details.
  3. Check your email account for the registration email and click the link to confirm your registration.
  4. Return to the homepage and click ‘Online Courses’ again. (You may need to login using your registration details).
  5. Click the tab marked ‘Foundation C1’.
  6. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the course online.
  7. At the end of the course, follow the instructions to print your certificate. You will receive an email confirming your course completion.

Safeguarding training for everyone: module C0

This online module is for anyone who would like to have a basic awareness of safeguarding and understand how the Church approaches safeguarding work. To access this module please go here and follow the instructions:

  1. Click ‘Online Courses’
  2. Click ‘Create new account’ to register as a new user and fill in your details.
  3. Check your email account for the registration email and click the link to confirm your registration.
  4. Return to the homepage and click ‘Online Courses’ again. (You may need to login using your registration details).
  5. Click the tab marked ‘Basic Awareness C0’.
  6. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the course online.
  7. At the end of the course, follow the instructions to print your certificate. You will receive an email confirming your course completion.
