The Diocesan Advisory Committee has issued advice to the Parochial Church Council (PCC) of the Parishes listed below in respect of proposed works, and a petition has been submitted to the Commissary Court of the Diocese of Canterbury for a Faculty to authorise these works. Any interested party may seek further details at the church in question. Before a Faculty is granted, a public notice will be displayed for a continuous period of at least 28 days at the Church. This notice will also state where detailed plans and specifications of the works may be viewed. Name of Church: St Catherine Description of Works: To install a toilet at the back of the north, Victorian aisle, and associated works. To install a drainage system exiting out of the west wall to a pumped system on the grassed area opposite the west door and then extent sewer to connect with the main outside the gate in St Catherine's Drive/Preston Lane. An extractor fan to be sited in the west wall. Works also include levelling the step from the north door, removing step at inner door, so that all levels are equal permitting easy access for disabled etc. Involves removal of one floor tomb slab from internal corner of west wall and repositioning.
