Thank you Julian

We're delighted to announce the date for us all to join together in worship and give thanks for the service of our Diocesan Secretary Julian Hills.

Bishop Rose will lead the service that will take place on Saturday 27 November at Canterbury Cathedral within Choral Evensong.

Julian was with the diocese for 18 years, 13 as Diocesan Secretary. He and his wife Hilary are much loved and it will be an opportunity to say thank you for their work, dedication and continued friendship.

Upon the announcement of Julian’s retirement, Archbishop Justin thanked him for his leadership, compassion and huge heart. He said: "Julian's ministry in our diocese has been marked by his huge heart. His love of Christ has always been evident in the way that he treats others - whoever they are - with care and compassion. Julian has faithfully led our diocese throughout times of great change and enormous challenge - most notably during this past year. Throughout his time with us, Julian has also been faithful in prayer and seeking God. The depth of his spirituality has been such a gift to us - and to me."

The service will begin at 5.15pm and all are welcome.
