Christian Healing Service for Survivors of Abuse, Holy Trinity Church in London, 17 June, at 2.30pm.

A Christian Healing Service for Survivors of Abuse is to be held at Holy Trinity Church in London on Saturday 17th June, at 2.30pm. The service is open to those who have experienced any form of abuse, as well as their supporters.

Refreshments will be served afterwards and there will be opportunities to receive individual prayer.

The service forms part of the response of the Dioceses of Canterbury and Rochester to the Kendall House Review in which they welcomed a recommendation to hold a joint annual service of healing and reconciliation for all survivors of historic abuse.

The Dioceses have also set up a telephone listening service for former residents and survivors of Kendall House, and others who may be affected by the findings of the report. It can be accessed by calling: 0845 120 4634. (The phone-line is provided by the Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service, an independent Christian safeguarding charity. Please note that the service is not suitable for callers seeking more in-depth support or counselling.)
