Refugee Week 2020

On Wednesday 17 June 2020, we hosted our first online webinar marking Refugee Week 2020, Imagine: Furthering the Church Response to Refugee Issues.

We were joined by guest speakers and contributors, including The Bishop of Dover, the Rt Revd Dr Rose Hudson-Wilkin, author and conflict resolution expert Alex Ntung. Also guests from Education for Diversity,  Refugees at Home, Diocese of Chelmsford and East London, Canterbury Diocese and Canterbury Cathedral.

The online event was open to everyone, to further understanding of why people seek sanctuary and to raise awareness on what the church is doing to support refugees.  We also explored how we can create new responses for unique and challenging situations.
