In our diocese, we are passionate about supporting lay and ordained ministers to discern and fulfill their calling - and about helping them to grow and develop in that calling throughout their life. Director of Mission & Ministry

Oversees the discernment, training and formation of lay and ordained ministers; development of mission and the local church; discipleship and learning; prayer and spirituality; pastoral supervision and continuing ministerial development; parish and benefice support though facilitation and conflict management.

Administrative, diary and project support to the Director of Mission and Ministry; leads on the administrative support to the wider Mission and Ministry team.

Head of Vocations

The Revd Jon Marlow

Responsible for encouraging vocations to lay and ordained ministries and supporting candidates for ordination through their training and curacy. This encompasses the roles of Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Director of IME2.

PA to Head of Vocations/DDO

Jacquie Town

Providing personal assistant support to the Head of Vocations plus administrative support and process guidance for the Team of Assistant Directors of Ordinands.  Support given ensures safeguarding, legal, financial and procedural requirements of the ordination discernment process are fulfilled.

Lay Ministries Adviser and Pastoral Secretary

Nigel Collins

Provides advice and guidance on all matters relating to recognised and authorised lay ministry (includes the role of Warden of Readers). Provides advice and guidance on matters relating to pastoral reorganisation on behalf of the Diocesan Mission and Pastoral Committee.

Mission & Growth Adviser

Helps the diocese engage in the mission of God, especially through Missional Learning Communities.
