The role of LGBTQ+ Adviser is dedicated to collaborating with the Bishop and our diocese to offer pastoral care and support to our cherished LGBTQ+ community, along with their friends, families, and ministers. Through our well-established LGBTQ+ Chaplaincy, we journey alongside people wherever they find themselves, providing ongoing love and inclusivity.
Mark Wilson recently stepped down as LGBTQ+ Adviser to the Bishop of Dover. Mark was a dedicated advocate, working closely with Bishop Rose to offer care and support to LGBTQ+ people across our diocese. Reflecting on his time in the role, Mark said: "It has been a real joy and privilege to get to know the LGBTQ+ community in the Diocese of Canterbury and to walk alongside Bishop Rose as we've journeyed together towards becoming a Church that truly welcomes and includes all people."
The LGBTQIA+ Chaplaincy remains available via LGBT@diocant.org and news on Mark's replacement will follow in due course.
Information about the chaplaincy can be found here.
