What is Christianity?

Christianity is the name of the faith of those who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he died on a cross and rose from the dead so that all people can know freedom from sin and a new life with God.

Christians believe that Jesus Christ was a real person sent by God to tell us about the Kingdom of heaven and the meaning of life. Jesus summed this up by telling us that to have a life that is full of love and purpose we should love God and love our neighbour.

From simple beginnings, the Christian faith has taken many shapes as it has developed through the centuries. The following links will take you to perspectives on some of the questions you might want to pursue and will help you explore Christianity further.
