Four churches that comprise Littlebourne Benefice will be holding a ten day music festival starting on Friday 20 September. With a singing workshop for children, community singing for older people and a series of concerts and services, the festival organisers hope there is something for everyone.
One of the highlights of the festival is the Children’s Singing Workshop which takes place on Saturday 21st September, 2-5pm, at St Vincent’s Church, Littlebourne. Children in years three to eight are invited to learn a series of songs, all taught by professional musicians Adrian Bawtree and Victoria Rowcroft. The event will end with an informal concert at 4.30pm. Workshop tickets are £5 (for families, 1st child £5, siblings £3). Entry to the concert is free.
Another highlight in the programme, is the Festival Concert on Saturday 28th (6pm), held at St John’s Church, Ickham. Featuring the 4 Villages Festival Choir along with professional musicians, the programme will include Gloria by Vivaldi. Tickets £10 (includes a glass of wine/soft drink at the interval).
