Cooking competition Kent is Delicious is back!
The annual Kent is Delicious cooking competition returns in 2019 for its eighth year and is now open for entries.
Each year the final is hosted at the Kent County Showground and celebrates young chefs and their menus that are sourced from local produce.
Groups of up to four youngsters are asked to put together a delicious breakfast that they then prepare before the judges and the tastiest and most imaginative dishes win.
Reverend Canon Caroline Pinchbeck said: “This is one of the highlights of the year as it always celebrates the creativity of the young cooks and just what a rich source of produce we are lucky enough to have here in Kent.
“The competition allows us to really learn about where food comes from, how and where it’s grown and what the best way to use it is.
“I am always impressed by the imagination of the cooks and just how delicious the menus they create are.”
The winning team receives £300 of vouchers and the two runners up receive £100 each in vouchers. The competition will be held on Friday 5 July and is supported by Kent County Show and Produced in Kent.
The deadline for entries is Friday 24 May.
