7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Canterbury, St. Paul's
We are all the stewards of God’s Creation. We are the guardians of historic, but not always environmentally friendly buildings. Canterbury Diocese is leading the way and has signed up to be one of the first Eco-Dioceses. As part of this undertaking we have a commitment to include the Environment and it’s theology in our training.
This evening session introduced by Archdeacon Stephen Taylor, Chair of the Eco Diocese Working Group, with Ruth Valerio from Arocha will present the theology of EcoChurch. We will explore Creationtide and Environmental worship resources, some written by Rev Matthew Rushton, Precentor of Canterbury Cathedral. We will look at outlines of available resources, best practice, eco audits and show case successful projects from across the Diocese.
We are sure you will leave with new ideas to enrich your ministry and the environment of our churches and parishes.
