Date(s) - Wednesday, 19th November, 2014
6:45 pm - 9:00 pm
Are you involved with your local foodbank? Do you know someone who is?
All representatives and volunteer foodbank teams are invited to an evening in which we will explore how we can enhance the role of foodbanks in the Diocese together. Foodbanks play a vital role in food relief but we hope that is not just the end of the story. We are all contemplating further the ways in which foodbanks can be the beginning of alleviating poverty. The evening aims to:
- Give thanks and celebrate the work of foobanks
- Consider ways to share information and collaborate
- Brainstorm around improving practice and developing new ideas
- network in fellowship
We will begin with a thrifty and delicious hot supper and will continue with discussion and exploration of ideas.
If you would like to find out more about the evening, please contact Kon Apokis, Together Canterbury Development Officer, who will be delighted to talk it through with you. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or Tel: 07834 573 655
There is no charge for the evening but places must be booked in advance below.
We look forward to seeing you for a convivial and productive evening!
