- Side By Side, an advocacy service for older and vulnerable people based in Kent will help us all to understand how important it is that individuals can make informed choices and get their voices heard particularly when they are vulnerable. We will also learnt more about the Mental Capacity Act and generally how independent advocacy for can assist individuals in weighing up their options at critical times of their lives
- Domestic Violence – the signs and symptoms of abuse, how to respond and how to help both victims and perpetrators and of course the children who have been exposed to harm. In addition safety plans for victims and intervention strategies will be discussed.
