‘Mission Possible: Spiritual Encounters Together’

We are pleased to invite you to the next Creative Mission Forum on 18th September 2017. This Forum session seeks to encourage thinking about ways of enabling spirituality within children and young people in the community – since they have an innate spirituality that is too often missed, and their description and sense of ‘the other’ can remain unheard.  A large percentage of these children and young people are in schools – so potentially we could just leave it to the schools, guided by criteria set by statutory inspection frameworks.  Or we could get involved.

‘Spiritual Encounters Together’ presents possibilities, and is about discovering that which is life-giving, focusing on a sense of ‘wholeness’ of community.  It sees children and young people as equal disciples, and imagines spaces and places where together we are likely to sense that God loves us.  The stories and examples we will hear and interrogate from school settings involve inviting children into these spaces, enabling them to explore their own spirituality.

Encounters together can lead to a spirituality that you might never have witnessed before, an understanding that children and young people can enhance our spiritual journey as much as we can enhance theirs.  An encounter together may reveal the divine beyond our experience, or draw us towards the divine, where each may flourish in Christ.

There is no cost, but we do need accurate numbers for lunch and refreshments so please book in below.
