THESE SESSIONS ARE BY INVITATION ONLY FOR SCHOOLS DUE FOR INSPECTION IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 19-20.

Course Leaders:         Niki Paterson and Rebecca Swansbury

The morning session will be looking at building a distinctive Christian vision for your school, which is the bedrock of the new SIAMS inspection process.

‘How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels, in enabling all pupils and adults to flourish.’ (SIAMS 2018)

The afternoon session will be exploring the ‘Valuing all God’s children report’ which looks at issues around homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying in schools, providing guidance and support for schools and policies and the Mental health and Wellbeing guidance from the Church of England Education Office.

This area forms part of strand 5: Dignity and respect, within the SIAMS framework. ‘How well does the school’s Christian vision create an environment that embraces difference where all pupils, whatever their background or ability, can flourish because they are treated with dignity and respect?’
