Worldwide there were over 270 reported murders of trans and gender non-conforming people in 2017 – the actual number is predicted to be much huger (Independent newspaper 01/02/2018)
We are holding a service of remembrance on the eve of Transgender Remembrance Day to mark the deaths of those who have been murdered this year, to recognise the abuse and danger that transgender people face on a daily basis and to look with hope to a future where all peoples may flourish as themselves.
The service starts at 7.30 with time for fellowship and refreshments afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
Holy Cross Church is situated at the end of Jubilee Close on the right hand side. It is small and set back from the road so not easy to see until up close to it. Unfortunately there is minimal parking in the close, unless you are disabled, but there is lots of space to park along the main Dymchurch Road.iCal
