We all know that children’s spirituality is often different from that of an adult – but why and how is that so?
The study of children’s spirituality is a recent arrival in the western world, with books only being published since the late 1990s in this country. SIAMS inspectors now seek evidence of enhancing spirituality in all schools- but do we (do they) know what we are looking at, or even looking for?
This course will give delegates a whistle stop tour of recent developments, and then unpack various concepts that are currently being investigated and considered in the field. We will also spend time looking at the conditions needed if (children’s) spirituality is to flourish.
