ALM Ministry Top-Up Training
The ALM team are excited to launch a new rolling programme of top-up training sessions available to sign up to now! At the February ALM Update Morning in February one of the things you told us was that there was a lack of further training opportunities post-authorisation and some of you felt it would be useful to have more frequent ALM aimed events, training and networking. We are now very pleased to offer a new series of two-hour, one-off sessions around the diocese which will happen six times a year.
This is top-up session one: Intercessory Prayer: how can it enhance or undermine a service? Rupert Bristow, a Reader in Trinity Benefice, Folkestone, and author of eight books of prayers, will explain how he came to lead, read and write intercessions and the methods he has learnt and developed for himself and others, in encouraging parishes to develop their own good practice and regular review. The session will be interactive and enable sharing of expectations, issues, experience and resources for leading intercessions amongst ALMS with varying degrees of confidence in this important area of worship.
Teas and coffees will be served on arrival and half way through the session.
These sessions are designed for ALMs but are open to anybody.
Bookings are closed for this event.
