Revels Comedy Club returns to Revelation! For the second time, get up close and personal with some of the best comedy that Britain has to offer.
El Baldiniho has seen a meteoric rise on the British comedy scene. He has appeared (and disappeared) in some of the UK’s most prestigious comedy clubs and festivals including Camp Bestival, Wychwood Festival and at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, and won runner up in the Made in Kent comedy competition at Canterbury Festival 2017. His brand of prop-based magic comedy and spoof mind-reading will appeal to audiences of all ages.
Sha Wylie is possibly Brighton’s oldest ‘new’ stand-up comedian, with the assistance of her fuchsia pink walking stick. She’s been working the Brighton stand up comedy circuit for ten years, having performed her first stand up gig at the age of 62, and hasn’t looked back since. She’s performed over 500 gigs and was shortlisted by Leicester Comedy Festivals 2017 for UK’s twenty Funniest Comedians over 55, winning judges over with her performance, material and ‘inimitable warmth’ – Latest 7
Headlining the evening, Australian-born Bec Hill has gained a cult following in Australia, the UK and Ireland thanks to her award-winning solo shows, Twitter presence and popular YouTube videos. She has a talent for incorporating arts and crafts into her stand-up routines, creating a unique and unforgettable comedy style that she calls “paper-puppetry”. She’s guest starred on ‘Dara O’Brian’s Go 8 Bit’, ‘Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Wind-Up’ and Sundance UK Grand Jury Prize winning short film ‘Russian Roulette’. Accolades include Barry Performers’ Choice Award for “Best Show” at Edinburgh Fringe and Dublin Trinity College “Spirit of The Fringe” Award.
★★★★★ “Brilliantly conceived, this is one of the stand-out shows in this year’s comedy programme”
The Sunday Herald, Edinburgh Fringe 2014
Vicar by day and comedian by night, Ravi Holy will be returning Revelation, MCing the entire evening. A relative newcomer to the comedy circuit, Ravi was voted ‘Funniest Vicar’ by The Inbetweeners on The One Show, made semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny 2016 and won the Canterbury Festival‘s ‘Made in Kent’ Competition 2016.
‘Ravi Holy has imagination, social comment, well-structured gags and a charming stage persona… plus he has a brilliant name’
