‘A Walk In Our Shoes’ and ‘Voices from the Pavement’ are two books created by the clients of the Catching Lives daycentre. They are the accumulation of two years of hard work and creativity and include a walking route around Canterbury packed full of pictures and factual information, and an anthology of an array of poetry, prose, photography and inspiring pieces of art work. Tuesday 29th November

Today we join a day of prayer for child refugees, in partnership with The Children’s Society, Mothers’ Union and Home for Good. It coincides with the Hat·tê·ḇāh trainin initiative, which takes place today at St. Paul’s Church in Canterbury and is providing awareness raising training about the issues facing young refugees. The Young Lives Foundation is a dedicated children’s charity committed to improving the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people across Kent and Medway. There are many vital volunteering opportunities available including Accompanying Adult and Appropriate Adult roles supporting cared for migrant children, or any child without parental support, who find themselves in police custody.
