This annual business even takes place at the Detling show ground and is focused on creating opportunities for Kent organisations to do business, as well as bring the latest business insight and practical thinking to the community. Communities and Partnerships has had a presence at the fair since 2011, with the aim of making new contacts and interesting businesses to think about their corporate social responsibility.
The county show in July provides a wonderful opportunity for the two dioceses of Canterbury and Rochester to meet the people of Kent and to share the work that the Church is doing across the region. During the three days, the Churches in Kent Tent receives many visitors, and a team of chaplains goes out and about across the showground throughout the weekend to offer spiritual support if required, or just a friendly chat. The show is also the venue for the Kent is Delicious cookery competition, which is open to all primary schools across Kent.
The Bishop’s Stakeholder Breakfasts are a relatively new initiative within the Communities and Partnerships Framework.
Their purpose is to bring together the diverse groups, projects and organisations we work with for an informal gathering, in order to talk, network and hopefully establish new and exciting connections. Read more »
