Adrian Iurco, a church painter from Romnainia, currently researching his PhD at the Prince's School of Traditional Arts, London, will give a course in Fresco. The finished panels will go on display at St Peter's Church, Oare for the Canterbury Festival's Artist Open House Trail. The course will be held at Creek Creative, Abbey Street Faversham. £350, plus £50 materials. The fresco and the mische technique courses are the only courses where some art training is required. No one should be put off for percieved lack of skill for my course on icons. Due to the generousity of the grant, these courses are excellent value.     'Iriadona' is the acclaimed group from North-West Spain which interprets traditional Galician music in a modern style. The performance combines soaring pipes with virtuoso guitar playing and the exquisite sounds of more unusual Spanish instruments.
    The concert will consist of two sets with an interval during which wine and tapas will be served.

    Iriadona appeared at St Mary of Charity during the Hop Festival in 2008 where they were a resounding success. This year they will be performing the week following the festival and will be playing in the main body of the church.     A programme of Bach and Handel music played by a string trio consisting of viola, violin and cello. The performers are young talented concert musicians who have completed studies at the Royal College of Music, the Yehudi Menuhin Scool of Music and the Guildhall School of Music. The concert is performed in a candlelit setting in the beautiful downland church at Crundale. All proceeds go to the church. Admission is £12 to include wine during the interval.
