Spiritual Accompaniment

Exploring a Calling to Spiritual Accompaniment

Rob Mackintosh, Director, Licensed Ministries writes . .
There is a need to support both ordained and lay ministers in a deeper awareness of the presence of God in their lives, a growing discernment of God's will, and a clear link with the greater mission of God in the world.

Responding to this need, the dioceses of Canterbury and Rochester jointly offer a Programme for Spiritual Accompaniment. The aim is to develop a group of both lay and ordained practitioners who are called to this ministry to become both confident and competent in their spiritual accompaniment of others.

Year 1 of the two-year programme takes place over six Saturdays approximately every 2 months.

The cost of the course is £220pa. CMD (for clergy and Readers) may be requested..

An application form, and supporting letters from your priest and spiritual director (see below), and a Programme Brochure are available
