Nine Days of Prayer, Fri 10 May – Sat 18 May
Between Ascension and Pentecost, individuals, parishes, deaneries and schools will be joining in prayer to ‘re-imagine’ calling. Copies of the 'pocket prayers' and supplementary prayer resources have been sent to parishes and are available here.
Cookery competition open to Kent schools
Primary schools in Kent are invited to participate in this year’s ‘Kent is Delicious’ competition in which pupils devise a recipe for a pudding using locally grown and produced food. The closing date is Wednesday 5th June - all entries will be included in a book of Kentish Recipes to be published later in the year. Details.
Melvyn Bragg to speak about William Tyndale at The Gathering and on BBC2
Melvyn Bragg who is the Keynote speaker at The Gathering on Saturday 1 June on ‘William Tyndale: the begetter of the King James Bible’, will also be presenting a programme on BBC2 in June on William Tyndale – entitled: ‘The most dangerous man in Tudor England’. Details.

Resourcing with a Purpose
Four evenings Led by Bishop Trevor and Julian Hills providing a chance to join in discussion with the Bishop of Dover and the Diocesan Secretary about the many issues we face as a church today. Each meeting will highlight a particular area of achievement in the past 12 months. The indicative budget for 2014 will also be available and implications for Parish Share explained.
