  • Bishop Trevor installed as Bishop of Dover at Canterbury Cathedral.

The Right Reverend Trevor Willmott was installed as the new Bishop of Dover at a special service in Canterbury Cathedral on Saturday.
Around 1,000 people attended the service including the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, the Mayor of Canterbury and leaders from many faiths. During the service, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, handed over delegated responsibility for the Diocese of Canterbury to Bishop Trevor, who was previously the Bishop of Basingstoke.
Bishop Trevor will spend his first few weeks in post meeting local communities in the 16 deaneries which make up the diocese of Canterbury.

    Diocesan Secretary Update
Just before Christmas, Diocesan Secretary Julian Hills slipped on the ice and tore the quadriceps muscle in his leg. Following an operation Julian now has a plaster cast on his leg from ankle to thigh. Likely to be immobile for some weeks, Julian will be picking up his emails as normal but if you need to speak to him, please call Diocesan House in the first instance. We are grateful for your prayers, and also your patience at this difficult time.
