  • Diocesan Synod to vote on the Anglican Communion Covenant and discuss ‘Welcome’
    On Saturday 4 February, members of Diocesan Synod will vote on the Anglican Communion Covenant as well as learn more about the importance of welcome and hospitality. Prior to the vote, proposals for the Anglican Communion Covenant have been sent to Deaneries for discussion and understanding.     ‘Let Justice Prevail’ prepared by Christian women of Malaysia. Both services are followed by refreshments.


    Café Church: Canterbury Diocese Creative Mission Forum
    Monday 19 March 2012, 10.30am to 3.30pm, at Seasalter Christian Centre.
    The focus is Café Church. Our guest speaker is Penny Marsh leader of the Café church at Costa Coffee in Bluewater. We aim to explore questions surrounding Café Church in all its different forms, big and small. Coffee and lunch will be provided; there is no cost, but we do need accurate numbers so please book in here.

    Margate church project awarded national research and development grant
    A church growth project in Cliftonville, Margate has been awarded a grant from the Archbishops' Council and Church Commissioners of the Church of England with the aim of replicating the project elsewhere in the Diocese. See a video of the project:

    The Gathering

    On Friday 16 September, as part of the Diocesan event ‘The Gathering’, the Archbishop of Canterbury and comedian Frank Skinner joined together for 90 minutes of conversation in Canterbury Cathedral Nave.
