Church Yard Regulations 2007

Regulations issued under the authority of
His Honour Richard Walker
Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury
In consultation with the DAC

  • Regulations - 'Word format'

  • Regulations - PDF format

The churchyard to which these Regulations apply has for many generations been central to the community as the burial ground for those who lived, worked and worshipped in this place. As the years have passed it has also become the natural habitat of plants and animals which may not be found elsewhere in the community. The burial of human remains or ashes here represents, in physical terms, the committal of those who have died into the eternal loving care of God.

These Regulations have been revised to reflect a careful balance between the special nature of this land and the aspirations of the families and friends of those whose earthly remains will be interred here in the future.

Copies of these Regulations and Application Forms can be obtained from the Incumbent, or the Diocesan Registry at Minerva House, 5 Montague Close, London SE1 9BB. T 020 7593 5110 F 020 7593 0314 DX 156810 London Bridge 6
