Exploring Discipleship Resources

Following the 24/7 Year of Discipleship which concluded with a special celebration service on Sunday 20 November (www.canterburydiocese.org/247liveit/christtheking ) , Bishop Trevor is encouraging church communities to look at their on-going discipleship within the areas of ‘welcome’ and ‘hospitality’ in 2012. In a letter to parishes (www.canterburydiocese.org/247liveit/trevorwilmottLent2012Oct11.htm) , Bishop Trevor said: “How we welcome people into our churches is crucial if our discipleship is to make a real impact in our local communities. To this end we will be making available a 2012 Lent course which will focus on the theme of 'welcome'. How we give welcome shows the character of the Jesus we follow today; it is a joint responsibility for the whole people of God to exercise. I hope Lent groups across the diocese will use these resources.”

Prayer resources on the theme of 'Hospitality' will also be made available for all churches for use during the Nine Day Week/Novena (18 to 26 May 2012).

Resources for Lent course will be available early in December
